UP CM Adityanath instructed the creation of a law to ensure the safety of lifts and escalators in multi-storey buildings. The law will enforce adherence to construction procedures, quality standards, safety features, and maintenance guidelines. Currently, there is no applicable law in Uttar Pradesh, unlike other provinces. The law will make registration mandatory for new and existing lifts and escalators.
