'$5 bn/year needed for PPP model of urban waste management for cities'

The implementation of municipal solid waste management through the Public-Private Partnership model in Indian cities will require the investment of $5 billion (around Rs 34,695 crore) per year, a joint report by industry chamber Assocham and British advisory multinational Ernst & Young (EY) said on Sunday.
